Our delictual law is based upon the premise that we have a duty not to cause harm. If an individual or other entity causes damage by an act or omission, it is possible that such conduct is actionable in law. It is important to remember that not all conduct is actionable and one has to prove blameworthiness on the part of a wrongdoer.
